Is there a difference between chicken stock and chicken broth?

3 Answers

Chicken stock tends to be made more from bony parts, whereas chicken broth is made more out of meat. Chicken stock tends to have a fuller mouth feel and richer flavor, due to the gelatin released by long-simmering bones.

Chicken stock is made by simmering more of the bony parts of the chicken, giving the stock a richer flavor because of the gelatin that is released from the bones. Chicken broth is made by simmering chicken meat.
